Snap Action Disc Thermostat

Applications
Bimetallic disc thermostats are designed for the continuous control of domestic coffee makers, steam irons, water heaters, refrigerators and other electrical appliances, where a fast response and length working life of the thermostat are vital. Water convectors, microwaves or exhausters are used as protection devices.

Operation
A bimetallic disc is used as a sensor and actuator. When the exchange temperature is reached, the bimetallic disc activates the contacts. When the circuit's power supply is interrupted, the system is cooled until the initial temperature is reached.
